Myself and 3 colleagues were assigned the task of creating packaging for the existing NACO Orimba L2 bookcase. The purpose was to enable it to be flat packed and expand delivery from Metro Melbourne to Australia-wide.
Many elements were considered when designing the packaging including the weight of the bookcase, how many boxes were required, how many people were needed to assemble it, what else is included to provide a positive user experience and how can we keep sustainability at the core of this project.
Although I worked as a team on this project my main areas of contribution were the proposal of a graphic, illustrated design which was selected to proceed, research of material pricing and design, layout and creation of the instruction booklet.
